I had a great wish to sing the peace songs with school children in Zürich. The opportunity came and Katrin Isenschmid and I we were invited to teach second and third class to sing the songs.

This is a school with more foreign children than Swiss children. 36 children from 15 different countries were singing together.

The teachers of the classes, Susanne Wingeier and Vanessa Seliner, were enthusiastic and gave very important support.

During a period of approximately 3 months the children learned 6 different songs.

On February 4^th we had a concert.

The children recited the text in German first and then sang the songs in English. In the first song, Rainbow, they spoke the word rainbow in 11 different languages. Their singing voices were full of power and life. It is amazing how these young people just loved to sing the songs about peace and oneness.

Robert Coray recorded the concert on Video and every child will get a CD.

Children from six different Nations are singing the songs of peace:

 Switzerland, Congo, Norway, Ireland, Bulgaria and Germany.

 The CD comes with a booklet containing the words and music of the songs.

Kindergarten "Elitza" in Pancharevo - a village near Sofia - has a music teacher who is singing the songs with the children. His name is Stavri Petrov Angelov. For now they are singing:" Peace be within you", "The Rainbow" and "I have a gift for you" The English teacher helps with the pronunciation of the text.

We visited the kindergarten in December 2008.

They welcomed us with an ancient Bulgarian custom of meeting the people with bread, salt and honey. Some of the children were dressed in Bulgarian national costumes. Offering bread and salt is a ritual expressing hospitality and welcome to the guests. The children sang Bulgarian songs and performed some lovely dances. 

We had a very good Contact with the principal of the Kindergarten: Svetla Pangarova-Lazarova. They are happy to be a part of the Peace Project. We will keep in contact with them.

Janet and Ivailo Hristov arranged this contact and they have now contacted another Kindergarten who wants to join us.

Event in Bulgaria December 2008

We had a wonderful concert with the Peace Songs in the "Dr. Peter Beron” Culture Center in Sofia. The Concert Hall was full of visitors. About 100 people. Three different Children's Choirs from Sofia participated. I presented the Project and we all sang together: Peace be within you    Peace be around you        Peace be in the whole world.

Dora Draganova led the event.

Neolina Pelova conducted a group of children from the Culture Center. Nahejda Tsanova played the Piano. The children sang with beautiful voices:“ I have a gift for you” , “ Morningstar” “Go to the Mountain”  and "Do you know“

Elizabet  Yordanova conducted the children from a school class from  "Drita" Private school.  They expressed the text of the songs with lovely movements. They sang:”The Rainbow,”    “Peace  be  within  you,” “ Can you hear me” and “ Let the love in your heart”.

Katia Kaparasheva conducted  the children from a school class from “33 Primary School St. Petersburg.”  Full of dedication they sang “The Rainbow”           

The Event  was filmed and recorded.

 It is a great joy to see how the Project  is developing  in Bulgaria.

We visited a  Kindergarden. (Detska gradina)  They also want to participate in the project.

Preparing the first CD

We are now preparing a CD of the children from different countries singing the peace songs. A recording is made by each group, they send it to us and we produce a CD. Each group will receive the complete CDChildren are hearing other children from different countries singing the same songs about oneness and peace.
This gives the children the feeling of being connected.

From different nations and continents….

At the moment 6 countries in 2 continents are participating in this Project:

• Bulgaria
• Congo
• Germany
• Norway
• Ireland
• Switzerland

In addition, we have contacts in Israel, Luxembourg, Palestine,India and Rumania.

In this work perfection is not so important. The important thing is that the children feel the significance of what they are singing and they are aware of their positive influence in the world.

Special events

• In 2004 when children in Beslan were kidnapped children in a school in Dublin Ireland where singing one of the peace songs: "Let the love in your heart flow into the world" in a prayer service for Beslan.
• In 2005 school children in Bombay, India sang some of the peace songs in the annual school celebration.
• In October 2006 a school choir in Müllheim Germany sang the peace songs in a concert for UNICEF
• In September 2007 a school in Schwerzenbach Switzerland organised a week for training peacemakers. The school offered a variety of different workshops. In one of the workshops we sang the peace songs with the school children.
